Industry Professional Critiques

For those who dare, critique sessions are a valuable experience for writers of all levels. An industry professional will read submitted pages from your book baby and your query letter. Then at the conference you will get one-on-one time with your chosen agent or editor. For a whole 15 minutes you will be able to sit down and discuss your 1st five pages and query with an expert in the publishing business. These critiques truly offer writers a lot of bang for the buck!

Critique sessions cost only $40 each with a limit of 2 sessions per registrant.  You can purchase at time of registration or tack it on after registration with your Conference Registration Number.

The Fine Print for you Daring Darlings…

Maximum word count for your 1st five pages plus the query letter is 1500 words. Submissions should not exceed 6 pages.

Please use the following guidelines for sending your submission.

  • Only Microsoft Word .docx, .doc and .rtf files will be accepted.
  • Times New Roman
  • 12 point font
  • 1 inch margins all around
  • Header in upper right hand corner should list your manuscript title, your name and the name of the industry professional you selected.

Pages for critique sessions must be submitted by March 1, 2019 via the form below to allow the agent or editor adequate time to read and review your pages otherwise known as your blood, sweat & tears. This amazing opportunity is for registered conference attendees only.

The Conference Coordinator reserves the right to return your pages if proper formatting is not followed.
